Job Responsibilities:

The Document Management Associate serves as direct support for internal and external mail processes.  The person in this role is expected to demonstrate exceptional internal and external customer service. Must have the ability to process large volumes of work and multi task with great accuracy

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Open and sort incoming mail from USPS
• Process documents received in the mail.  Ensure these documents are placed in the appropriate patient accounts.  Creating orders for lab/imaging documents.  Properly labeling each document.  Assigning the document to the proper staff. Looking at every page of documents that are coming in.   Distinguish preliminary documents from final document
• Process interoffice mail.  Ensure that the bags are ready for the courier pick up
• Scan all documents that come from the Pods.  Ensure these documents are placed in the appropriate patient accounts.  Creating orders for lab/imaging documents.  Properly labeling each document.  Assigning the document to the proper staff. Looking at every page of documents that are coming in.   Distinguish preliminary documents from final document
• Process all stat documents at the Providers request
• Sort and deliver packages to the appropriate floors
• Process document that are dropped off by the Patients and attached to telephone encounters
• Create Home Health Certifications visits for the Providers
• Pick up anything that needs to be sent out or scanned for processing
