The primary purpose of the Urgent Care Registered Nurse (RN) I is to assess the patient’s health problems and needs; develop and implement nursing care plans; maintain medical records through excellent documentation, and administer highest quality nursing care as directed and within scope of practice and established protocols. The RN may also provide guidance and education to the patient on health maintenance and disease prevention or provide case management in cooperation with the provider and the treatment plan. The RN acts as a clinical leader promoting professional excellence, teamwork and collaboration for the best care of the patient amongst the various care disciplines.
