Financial Analyst

Job Responsibilities:

Responsible for researching, analyzing and preparing reports on budgeting, billing and financial trends. Produces financial forecast information and leverages business intelligence tools to create and improve financial reporting.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Provides data-driven decision support to the CFO, relating to financial trends, business forecasts, and department performance.
  • Prepares and analyzes information related to the Physician Income Distribution
  • Prepare, analyze, and explain the revenue budget, which includes projecting physician work RVUs, converting RVUs into dollars, and estimating contractual write-offs, in collaboration with department managers and the finance team.
  • Manage the month end financial process from an analytical and technical perspective.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain financial dashboards
  • Special projects as assigned by the CFO and BI Manager

Job Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Mathematics or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of healthcare financial analysis and reporting.
  • Understanding of complex relational database concepts and skills in interpreting database models
  • Expert Microsoft Excel skills
  • Microsoft SSRS Reporting Skills
  • Ability to analyze statistical data and prepare estimates
  • Ability to quickly learn new technical skills and applications
  • Self-starter that can work with autonomy and is able to prioritize and manage multiple projects at once, while still meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to build and maintain comprehensive financial reports.
  • Ability to communicate to all levels of the organization, from front line management to senior leadership.
  • Ability to explain financial data in layman’s terms to management and physicians
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Experience with understanding healthcare pricing related to CPT and ICD 10 coding systems.
  • Understanding of healthcare revenue cycle management.
  • SQL Server programming experience preferred.
  • Tableau experience preferred, but not required.

Other Job Information (if applicable):
This is a full time, 40 hour per week position. Monday through Friday, 8:00-5:00.
